Resources are materials found in the world of Edge of Space, that allow you to build, craft, and advance through the game. There are a variety of ways to obtain the different resources, including mining, plant harvesting, mob drops, manufacturing, loot chests, breakables and quest rewards.

Resource Types[ | ]

Resources fall into a number of different categories that dictate which can be used to complete various schematics. When crafting, you will notice that resources are tagged with these categories, such as Raw, Mineral, Metal, Ore, Organic, etc. The game will automatically show you which resources qualify for each craft by using the dropdown on the schematics. The resource categories equate to how they are acquired. For example, ores are acquired by mining, organic are acquired from living entities (plants or enemies), and inorganic is made by player-made machines such as the Carbon Fiber Factory.

Methods of Gathering Resources[ | ]

Resources in Edge of Space can be obtained by mining them, gathering them from cutting plants, drops from mobs, manufacturing them through factories, finding them in the world in loot chests and breakables, and through quest rewards. Billboard quests offer easy chances to get resources that might otherwise be more time consuming to find. Billboard quests and other quests reward you by placing items in your "rewards" tab. To claim the rewards, click "Claim reward". Items that can not be claimed due to a full inventory will remain in the "rewards" tab until claimed.
